About

This is a photo blog that I'll be updating for the coming year that will cover my travels in Africa. Except for the summer, I'll be living in Ethiopia and taking some trips occasionally to surrounding countries. The organizations I will be working for are listed on the right side of the page. If you want to get in touch you can email me at eric.d.jayne.15@dartmouth.edu

Muger River Gorge

This week I took a short 2-day trip north out of Addis to the Muger River Gorge. Taking public transport in Ethiopia isn’t incredibly pleasant; you rarely have a seat to yourself as they cram as many people into a bus as possible. However, it was well worth the trip. It was a beautiful place and I got to see some Gelada monkeys as well! While the 100m waterfall was dry, I was told it fills up after the rainy season (Sept-Oct) so hopefully I’ll take another trip back then.
